Currently serving as Mayor and Development Director at Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove, Oklahoma, Jeff is leading the museum’s first comprehensive fundraising effort, including the creation of a donor database, a multi-phase capital improvement campaign, and a strategic plan focused on financial sustainability and regional engagement. Previously, as Senior Director of Development & Outreach for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, he managed a six-person team, raised nearly $6 million in less than two years, and directed agency-wide communications in partnership with clergy, parishes, and community leaders.
Jeff’s fundraising expertise also includes his role as Campaign Director with Lynch Development Associates, where he guided 18 parishes in raising $5.8 million toward a $40 million diocesan-wide campaign. Earlier leadership positions include serving as Executive Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region, The Mabel Tainter Theater, and Youth Music Illinois, where he stabilized operations, retired long-standing debt, rebranded organizations, and expanded donor and community support.
In addition to his executive leadership, Jeff has consulted with nonprofits nationwide through Jeff McSweeney Creative Services, offering guidance in board development, campaign planning, communications strategy, and creative services such as photography, video production, and digital storytelling. His ability to blend strategy with creativity has helped organizations strengthen their brands, engage supporters, and achieve lasting impact.
Jeff holds a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Eureka College. Beyond his professional work, he has served in civic and community leadership roles, including as an alderman for the City of Eureka, Illinois, and as a volunteer with Teens Encounter Christ. A dedicated marathoner, Jeff also brings persistence, energy, and resilience into every endeavor.
Respected by colleagues and partners as a communicator, team builder, and “agent of transformation,” Jeff McSweeney continues to empower organizations to reach ambitious goals while staying rooted in their mission.
